What You Get:

The FutureStock Review is published around the 7th of every month on the FutureStock website (accessible by password to subscribers) and sent by email as well. A hard copy is snail mailed a week later for your files. You can get an email only or snail mail only subscription for a slightly reduced rate.

Each eight page issue contains an article on investing such as recent articles "Cash Flow Analysis and Ratios" or "Asset Allocation & Building Your Portfolio". Their online example is "Investment Clubs". But what people pay the big bucks for are their stock picks.

The editors use fundamental analysis with an emphasis on growth. In fact, growth is a key factor for them. They will not recommend any stock unless it meets their strict criteria of growth rates in both revenues and earnings in excess of 30%. They also look for solid assets and low debt.

They make a practice of meeting with company management to get a feel for how the company is run and when possible, they test the company's products.

Each issue features three to four undervalued growth stocks that they believe have a good chance to double in share price in the next year and a half.

The stock profile describes the company and what it does and discusses recent financial data. Handy tables summarize the balance sheet, income statement and key stats. A one year stock chart is also included.

An example of their analysis is the one they did of 01 Comunique Laboratory Inc. in their March 1999 issue. The stock turned out to be one of their best picks and is up almost 2000% to Feb. 22, 2000.

Page 7 features a handy Quick Reference listing the addresses, phone numbers, web addresses, email addresses and contacts for each featured company.

This is followed by a table rating the stocks according to the editors' unique three point rating system. Each stock is given a rating from 1 (low) to 5 (high) on growth potential, industry outlook and share price (where 1 is overvalued and 5 is undervalued). A blended overall rating is also given.

Company Updates fill page 8. This looks at several previous picks and where they are now. They will recommend either holding on to the stock or taking full or partial profits, depending on what the stock has done and its current prospects.

This newsletter is only a couple of years old and so has not established a long term track record. But their record to date is nothing short of spectacular. The average gain on their 1999 stock picks to Feb. 22, 2000 is 157.02% On their 1998 picks it is 232.20%.
