Info Touch Technologies has become a leading manufacturer
of free-standing Internet kiosks for business and
entertainment. Clients include such notable groups as Burger King, Caltech University, The Pentagon, the Chase Manhattan Bank and six hotel chains including Ramada Inns, Hilton Hotels, Holiday Inns and Marriott Corporation. In May of 2000, the company announced completion of a customized rollout of Cyber Cafés at Chapters Book locations in Toronto and Winnipeg. The company is also deploying a Chapters version of its proprietary Surfnet software to Chapters stores in British Columbia. The custom cyber café application will provide Chapters customers with pay-per-use Internet access, video e-mail, advertising, and portal access. Info Touch and Chapters will share revenues generated. The company also has a service agreement for Chapters retail computer network. For the quarter ended Jan. 31, 2000, the company's revenues increased 191% from the previous year, but the company lost money for the quarter though its loss per share was reduced from $0.06 to $0.05.
