Since changing its name from LatinGold in
June of 1999, Travelbyus.com has moved aggressively to
become a player in the online travel business. In July the company announced a letter of intent to purchase Express Vacations LLC of Reno, Nevada. Express Vacations wholesales vacation packages to Reno and Las Vegas. And in late August the company announced a partnership agreement with a major airline computer reservations system to help develop the company website. Travelbyus.com aims to provide complete travel services online, from travel arrangements through accomodations and entertainment. The company has also retained the services of people knowledgable in the travel industry. President and CEO Bill Kerby is the former President and CEO of Leisure Canada Inc. which developed hotel and resort properties in Cuba. He is also the founder of the Thrifty Car Rental franchise in British Columbia. The other members of the Executive Team also have experience in this field. The company's website is still under construction at this writing, but plans are underway to launch a fully functional site in October. Company offices are in White Rock, British Columbia with a representative in Fair Haven, New Jersey. The company was recommended as a speculative buy by Groome Capital in July.
