Timebeat.com Enterprises

In mid-1999, Timebeat.com was a gold mining company called AGC Americas Gold Corporation. But, like many other gold miners who saw the writing on the wall, AGC decided to mine the Internet. And they may have come up with a winning idea.

The idea? Sell high end watches and jewelry over the Internet. It's a unique niche market and may prove to be a highly lucrative one. The company sells "top name-brand designer watches, fine jewelry, estate jewelry, collectibles and giftware from the world’s most recognized manufacturers, all fully warranted and at substantial savings".

You won't find Timex here. But you will find such brands as Tiffany, Bulgari, Gucci, Longines and Heuer. Watches ranging in price from a low end $225 Citizen to over $40,000 for a high end vintage Patek Philippe.

The company also features online auctions of fine estate items and a Collector's Forum for the sale of unique one of a kind collector pieces.

AGC Gold Corporation changed its name to Timebeat.com on Oct. 7, 1999 and also began trading on the then Vancouver Stock Exchange as TBE.

The Timebeat.com website opened on November 2, 1999. Besides beautifully illustrated catalogues of fine timepieces and jewelry, the site features an online magazine - Timebeat Lifestyles - for connoisseurs of luxury watches and fine jewelry. The premiere issue featured articles on the James Bond Omega Seamaster and on cloisonne dome clocks.

Timebeat.com became fully operational for e-comerce transactions on Nov. 23, 1999. And on Dec. 17, 1999 the company acquired online community website Watchzone.com.

The latter, a meeting place for watch collecting afficionados, garners over 400,000 pagehits a month, traffic that will now be directed towards Timebeat.com.

In the Spring and Summer of 2000 the company launched a new website aimed at the youth market - Timebeat4Teens.com. The site goes way beyond watches, featuring clothing, cosmetics, swimwear, shows and even flowers. The teen site is affiliated with 50 brand name suppliers.

In the Fall of 2000, the company launched its auction site and revamped its main site with state-of-the-art graphic animations.

Although the company's primary focus is now e-commerce, it still retains a gold division with a 100% interest in a 115 square-mile property in the Toodoggone Gold Camp in northern B.C.
