A note from Paula:

I was the About.com Guide for World Music, from October of 1997 to September of 2001. My site increased the presence of World Music on the Internet and really cornered the market in terms of presenting a wide variety of different musical cultures from the corners of the globe.

I had a wonderful time writing interviews, artist profiles, CD reviews, and presenting the best Internet resources on World Music. Needless to say, I was shocked and disappointed when About cut the site as part of their taxonomy restructure in September of 2001. Nonetheless, I remain committed to being a voice for World Music on the Web.

All of my former About content lives on at my new World Music site, Inside World Music. I will continue publishing interviews, reviews, and other articles on World Music there.

I am a full-time freelance writer and Web designer, and always have many projects on the go. I am a WZ-ard at WZ.com for several topics, including Bicycle Commuting and Jethro Tull, and am the Contributing Editor of Canadian Literature at Suite101.com. Some of you also know me as About's Guide to Edmonton, AB. That site got cut as well, and I am working towards getting the content back online.
